It’s a known fact that everyone alive loves jokes/ comedy/ humour. A google search with any of these words return thousands of sites (if not millions). However, am not sure if anyone bookmarks the sites, or check back often to enjoy more of them. I don’t do it atleast. Well, we have countless jokes available on each site, classified and categorized, but we still don’t go there to enjoy them. However, we laugh our guts out/ enjoy even one liners if we receive them as sms, an email, and of course as posts on blogs. Can you help me understand the reason why?
I think it’s the frequency. Reading too many at a time ruins the fun of it. It will be more like keeping ourselves updated and no fun at all. And I observed that if I come to know that I am about to read a joke (or listen to one from someone), my expectations rise and I enjoy less compared to the encounter as a surprise! So, anytime I tell a joke, I make sure that I don’t mention it before
