A week into this new blog and it’s really exciting! The wordpress platform, the arthemia theme, a new hosting service, my own domain name- all are new to me. So far, I’m loving it!
While my own domain name and hosting service, along with a wordpress engine powered blog were something I’ve been thinking for a long time now, the theme I selected is adding to the pleasure and satisfaction too. Especially grabbing a free version (premium version costs about $70!) and adding enhancements/ tweaking to our requirements. It wasn’t east getting into code and set things up; however, the sense of satisfaction is priceless and I guess is more than the return of investment for the time and energy spent. Of course the $70 are saved. 
The content of this blog from now on will work without bugs. However, the older posts imported from my previous blog may throw some issues. These will not be fixed: unless someone is looking for that content or post page and adds a comment that the issue be fixed.
Rest assured, all the links, images, content and formatting is carried over to the maximum extent possible when you visit the post pages. That is, when you click on the title of the post and go to its own dedicated page. There might be some missing images or links when you click on the category link, or view results using the search feature. When you click on the title, you then go to the post page where everything should be alright.

- You can rate the posts. Notice the 5 stars at the end of the post. While adding a comment is preferred, you can also rate the post if you think commenting takes time. Or do both!
- Share: You can do lot of things with the post if you like it. Just hover your mouse over the small icons at the end of the post!
- Featured articles: The theme has given me an option to show the most recent ‘featured’ articles from the site. However, I changed the code to show random featured articles. So, every time you visit the site, you will have something worthwhile to catch up on!
- Photos: My Flickr Photostream and My Picasaweb are integraded on to this site. While it’s good to have all my pictures in one location, there is another advantage too: You can check out my Flickr or Picasaweb content even if those sites are blocked in your corporate network
- and more…: Just keep visiting and keep exploring the site. Something is added every week. Something is changed every day. New things are coming your way!
