How to check your traffic violation dues online

July 17, 2009

Last week when our cab was stopped by a traffic police on our way to work, we had not violated any traffic rules. However, as Hyderabad Traffic Police has been tracking traffic rule violations for a couple of years now, recently they started to ‘clear off’ their database on a very wide range. As you [...]

Varsham – it ‘feels’ different

July 15, 2009

I received a ‘missed call’ from the driver, something he does every day when he reaches my place and that indicates the cab is ready. I completed my lunch, grabbed my bag and ran down the stairs. It was drizzling but that shouldn’t matter as I have a cab to get to work. I reached [...]

Oy! Did it come out right?

July 13, 2009

I’ve listened to the music for a couple of weeks continuously before watching the movie and I love it. I had huge expectations for the movie I based on the quality of the music. While, loving the music has helped me enjoy the experience, the expectations were too high I guess, or the movie itself [...]

The day I got my YAMAHA

July 9, 2009

“Do you have a brown one?” I asked the sales guy in between grasping breaths as soon as I rushed into the YAMAHA showroom. He stared at me for a few seconds and asked with a puzzled look: “What?” I then gave him a few more details. “I am here to buy a YAMAHA Crux. [...]

Hope this is not a false alarm like it happened a few weeks [...]

Last night I was fast asleep when the alarm went off. I usually depend just on my mobile phone and it was right beside me. The ‘Soni De Nakhre’ song from ‘Partner’ in Sony Ericsson Walkman mobile right beside the pillow would probably wake up anyone successfully. 4 am is my normal wake up time [...]

Sweet Dreams!

June 17, 2009

This is a standalone (Lite version) application I ran into today. While this will not allow you to technically ‘download’ the dreams you see in your sleep (:P) for later interpretation, this will help you to fall asleep to your favorite music and enjoy your dream experience better. If you are one of those who [...]

Boni – not a very good start

June 15, 2009

In one phrase- not worth watching. The only aspect of the movie which was not very disappointing is music. It’s not great but few tracks are good. And as it is well known, Ramana Gogula reads lines between songs (or is that rap?) which wasn’t very awkward in here. Or did I feel that way [...]

Prayanam – mild entertainer [movie review]

June 8, 2009

Prayanam is a mild entertainer. I wasn’t bored at any point in the movie. But, there isn’t anything that caught my attention either. It has a typical storyline that ‘just happens in movies’. It’s a love at first sight theme, that takes place in airport while awaiting departures. Hero falls in love with the girl [...]
